Glen, Cannot give the correct fuel pressure for your application. Only a/your tuner can or by running multipe scans. Yes, it is adjusted by removing the vac line first. The pressure will be ~5 psi higher when the vac is removed. It drops to operating pressure when the vac is reapplied.

hi rrt vette,
thanks for your reply and help mate!
but is it necessary to remove the vac line hose to adjust it properly/to get the rite preasure though please?
is it a good idea to change the old fuel preasure regulator diaphram for a new one in to help with increase the fuel preasure as well?
thanks
glen

I set my FP at 44 psi with vacum unhooked, FP should not be set with vacum hooked period, unhook vacum and set it to 42 psi ( i believe u have #24 injectors), than it should read 35-38 psi with vacum hooked,

I set at 44 psi w/vacum unhooked with 24 injectors, and i hooked my aldl connector with my laptop, took a test drive, at idle and at stop lights BLM readings were 132-138 and while drive at low speed blm = 128 (perfect below 128 is richer ) and at 4400 rpm=135 mph speed, blm's were 124 perfect i want it to be just little richer side.

So if u have laptop, S/w(winlaldl in my case) take a test drive an dobserve blm's at idle, slow speed and than high speed (u dont have to go 135 mph speed though).

Yes, to measure or adjust FP you need to remove the vacuum line and plug it at the plenum fitting.

1-measure stock fuel pressure with the stock FPR installed
2-install the AFPR and set pressure to the stock value
3-measure HP
4-bump pressure by 4psi
5-repeat 3 & 4 till HP begins to drop off and back off 2psi

If you don't have a chassis dyno or drag strip you can get a crude measure of HP by measuring acceleration between two fixed points about 1/4 mile apart. In the latter case I would measure both MPH & time.
