What was the TPI Engine Color?
Quick question......whats the correct engine color for the TPI's
Was it black ?

Thanks everyone, just wanted to be sure, doing a TPI swap on my 82 and kinda wanted the engine to look "factory"

Hmmm could be.....if the engine was from the late eighties

yes.... the green looks like mopar canary**** green. gm green was just a tad darker. save the stupid wave

All GM engines have been painted black since the late 70's to early 80's when GM car used the "corporate" engines and did away with brand specific motors and their unique colors.
I recall reading somewhere that the black paint helped with heat dissapation. But it was more likely that GM came up with a really cheap supply of paint.
