Leave it alone, do not replace unless it is broken and the car won't run. I spent good money "while I was already in there" to do a new opti, and the new opti was bad out of the box. This was 4 years ago, but still...the old opti never did anything wrong and I would have saved money, time, and trouble leaving it alone.

I have a 92 and started out trying to fix an oil leak. Here is a long tech tip I did about the whole opti/wires/plugs/coolant pump/timing cover seal replacement/etc. https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...=231&TopicID=2

Once you're done it will last and you will have peace of mind.

I went with the Dynaspark due to the track record.
Was well worth the money and is working great for me!
