Default lt1 intake conversion ignition ?

Hey there! I've had my egr bosses completely removed on my lt1 intake to allow me the use of my large hei distributor. problem is i really am not that educated when it comes to the operation of an electric dist, and the fact that the fuel rail touches the dist when installed. does an electric dist physically turn to advance, or does the computer or somthing automatically adjust it for me? i'm hoping the computer does it, or i will have to run the f-body dist. i know this is kind of a dumb question but if anyone knows it would be you guys/gals.
Thanks!

The distributor doesn't actually turn. If you can drop it in the hole it's OK.

You will need to rotate the distributor to set the initial timing. The distributor will advance the timing internally.
