Search, did you check archives, i did and found bunch of posts
The man has a point: next time search. This isn't exactly a new topic. But here is the answer anyway....
I removed it from my 96. You can unplug the motor and take the bulb out of the information cluster. The ABS will still work. On my car, I removed the ASR motor, ASR throttle cable and cruise cable, and got a throttle cable for a 95 LT1 Camaro with no traction control. Going this route will also take your cruise control with it. Simply unplugging the motor and pulling the bulb **should** leave cruise working. I didn't try this, but I think it will work.
To pull the bulb out of the driver information center, take off the trim panel and remove the 3 screws that hold it to the dash. Simply twist the bulb and it comes right out.
Thanks for replies. I will check archive again and see what I find. I have never used it in 3 yrs of ownership and trying clean up and make pretty the engine compartment. I will way my options if this is worth the effort.
