your L98 is nothing special...just a typical Gen 1 small block. the pump should fit just fine...
rough gain? 5-10hp? depends on application...some gain more or less...
you would need the shorter belt since your engine is no longer driving the pump...installation should be no more difficult than a standard water pump except you need to run a couple wires for power and ground...no biggie...
i plan to convert to one on the 427 if it ever gets finished.
how are ya!
what changes would i please need to do with the belt rerouting ???
i know i have to get a shorter belt for starters, will this be a problem to find?
what other stuff/mods extras will i have to do do you think?
thanks
cheers

Youve removed your A/C so the compressor doesnt need to be there, electric water pump means there will be no pulley on there, all you have left that needs to be driven is the power steering and the alternator, which are both on the left hand side. Im not sure how youre going to make that work yet, but it wont be as simple as a shorter belt.
You might as well get rid of all that stuff that doesnt need to be driven anymore, if you leave it there it basically defeats the purpose of disabling it.
