Check Gauges Light/Missing Oil Level Sensor
(I just posted it under Tech/Perf, maybe I should have posted it here. Sorry for the duplication)
At the time of my supercharger installation in my 1990 (L98 Auto), the mechanic had removed the oil level sensor in the oil pan when installing the return oil feed from the supercharger. This caused the Check Gauges light to come on that has stayed ON ever since.
One of the forum members had advised that it should have a plug with a Pink (going to the CCM) and Black (Ground) wire and shorting them should turn the light off.
My problem is that I couldn't find any plugs hanging in the vicinity with a Pink and Black wire. Not sure if the mechanic completely removed it or what.
Where do I check it? How do I trace it to the CCM?
