Default 91 AC SLOW leak ???

I read the post yesterday about leak at high pressure sensor. I looked at sensor (s) for possible leak. I had added a color tracer to freon last year. I found no trace of leak there. I have been trying to find the source of the leak for two years now. At the beginning of the season (Spring) I am having to recharge the system (I still have some R12). By the end of my corvette driving season, the AC has lost enough freon to no allow the system to work.
Have any of you had similiar experiences and DISCOVERED the source of the leak. Thanks for any input................

Usually if you can't see it - it's the Evaporator. Assuming there's something in it, take it to an a/c shop and have them check it out with an Electronic Leak Detector. Takes all of 2 minutes and it shouldn't cost very much - if anything at all - they want the big bucks to fix it.

Sounds like good advice. Actually I have an electronic leak detector. I guess I can try to put it into the dash vents and see if I get a response. I will not get to it until the weekend, but will post result. I welcome any other suggestions.

Thanks..........

If you got one, do it! You can also remove the Blower Module from the Evaporator Case and stick it right next to it. A/c needs to be running, so if there's anything in it, clear the low gas code and then jumper the low pressure switch with a paperclip. That should keep it going long enough for you to check it out.

Actually what I have been doing is attaching a jumper from the postivie battery to the compressor clutch, turning the compressor on. I can then add Freon. After that you remove one of the fuses for a short period of time and that resets the system. I dont remember which fuse, but it is spelled out in the owners manual.
