Default part number info needed

GM PART # 17120735 (ACD# HL123)
Engine Valve Lifter

can anyone tell me if these are for the LT1 or LS1.....or will they work in either. since I have the 94 LT1 apart...if these will work I might as well put them in before I adjust the valves and close her up.

thanks in advance. Tom

[QUOTE=bogus;1559831997]according to my checks on www.gmpartsdirect.com, it's for 1996-1997 LT1s.

Bogus, so would this indicate a 94 LT1 could not use these..???

Was there different lifters in the later years or could these be perhaps LT4 type for the later hp. really don't want to risk it if there is a question about them

also noticed the hole in them....do the holes need to face a front direction if installed or does it not matter.

Thanks for the reply and info on them. Tom

You cannot infer interchangeability from p/n listings. Some are redesigns/improvements, some are entirely different parts.

You can use AC-Delco.com to find part images, this will tell you if there's a big difference between parts. These look the same, visually. But there may be some small dimensional difference that will destroy your motor if you install them blindly.

Thanks all for the info and links. I just left the original ones in as I could not see any real wear on them. even used a magnifying glass to look at the rollers. Seem just fine as best I could tell. thanks tom
