Default MSD Dist. Cap and Rotor Install question

I am trying to install a MSD cap and rotor onto a new opti spark and there are some "issues".

1. I cannot seem to find the correct torx bit for the rotor screws, they are very small. Anyone know the size.
2. The kit came with a small bag of parts, most of which I can identify however there is a 1" long "nut" with a screw in one end that I am not sure what it is for. Also there is a small block of aluminum with a screw hole in the middle which I don't know what to do with.

Anyone out there ever install one?

Hi 96,

That "one inch nut and screw" it MSD's version of a torx nut driver for your male torx screws. Just remember to tighten the screw to 1" nut with pliers before using.

Sorry but I have no idea what that aluminum block is. I never bought just the cap/rotor kit.....rather the entire dist.

Oh, and the rotor screws are, I think, T-10

btw....MSD uses Phillips head machine screws for their rotors (at least the do in their complete distributors).
