Anyone try them. Are they worth a couple extra $$ and the hassle to change over? Speaking of hassle; the times I've had the plugs changed before just happen to be with major motor work like timing change and water pump replacement. I've let the shop do the tune up. Now I might try it myself and even though I have the clam shell with full access to the engine, it looks like the plugs were put in at the factory before they put the engine in. Can all 8 plugs be accessed from above with regular tools? TIA
Don't know about the L98 but the LT1's plugs can be changed from above, little tricky on a few but not bad w/ regular tools.
The E3 plugs look gimmick to me. If you've ever seen the angle at which the plug is presented to the chamber on the L98/LT1/LT4 head you will notice that the spark kernel is most open to the chamber when using a conventional plug design with the L-shaped ground electrode.
I thought about it a lot, but since i like changing plugs every few months i will stick to ngk copper, but my next fav plugs are Ac delco rapid fire's i like em bought twice in last 2 yrs,
