Default LT4 Hot Cam question

Am I looking at the right hot cam kit on the gmpartsdirect website?

"This kit includes the following items: one camshaft P/N 24502586, 16 roller rocker arms kit P/N 12370839, 16 valve springs P/N 12551483, 16 valve caps P/N 10212808, 16 valve keys P/N 24503856, 16 valve spring shims P/N 10212809."

It mentions only the LT1, is this the one for my LT4?

Where can I find the best deal on a Hot Cam? http://www.gmpartsdirect.com?

Thanks! :chevy

Seems this kit includes many of the parts already installed on a stock LT4 including the roller rockers and higher rate valve springs. I don't think you need all of these parts if you are simply swapping the Hot Cam into an LT4. Just buy the Hot Cam alone.

That is the LT4 Hot Cam kit ... if you already have an LT4, just buy the cam, which is about half the price (around $250 or so). BTW, shipping from gmpartsdirect is REDICULOUS.. SO WATCH OUT!!!

If you are getting GM parts, then I would recommend Jeff Kopp at Superior Chevrolet. He is a member on this forum and provides excellent service and prices. You will get the correct part. I recently bought the LT4 Hot Cam from Jeff for my LT4. I think it was aroung $185 plus shipping. You may want to consider upgrading your springs as well. Give him a call or send him an email.

He is located in Kansas. Check out his web site as well. http://www.superchevyperformance.com

I agree with the others. Your car already has most of what comes in the kit so just purchase the Cam alone

I bought mine from SDPC for $180. All you need is the cam. Everything else that comes in the whole kit came on your LT4.
