Default Vacuum leak?

I found that my car was running rich with the new fuel pump so I attached a fuel pressure guage to crank the AFPR down a few psi.

Pulling one of the plugs on the intake to allow a vacuum leak resulted in no spike in FP. Isn't it supposed to jump as much as 5 psi under this condition?

I did a cursory search for a second leak and found nothing, and a vacuum gauge has it at about 13-14 mm/hg. That seems about right with my cam (see below).

Thoughts?

Is there a vacuum line running to the fuel pressure regulator ? That line is what you should be removing to see a change in pressure.

Yes there is, and I did not remove that one.

You have to understand something...I'm not very smart

Thanks for the suggestion.
