Default Injector Update

I had been having problems with a fuel leak down problem. Thanks to the help from this board and the helms manual I have fixed it. First I narrowed the problem down to leaky injectors. The previous owner put in some Accel's from Mid America. Unfortunately these were rated at 24 lbs and were leaking very badly after less than 10,000 miles. I tried unsuccessfully to get some used OEM and send them to Cruzin for service but was not able to. So I bought some used ford pink top 22lb injectors from 1982CorvetteDude. With some help from Sam Lam and his write up for changing injectors without removing the runners I dumped the Accel's and installed the Ford's. The job is pretty straight forward and was finished in 2 evenings after work. The 2 hardest parts were removing the old bottom O rings for the new ford's and getting the plenum to fit back in between the runners. The only problem I had is I dropped a runner bolt down the back of the motor and I can't find it. I will have to find one somewhere.
The fuel pressure now holds steady and I got some new tools. How sweet is life!!!!
Thanks for your help. You guys are a great source of kowledge.

Glad to hear you problems were solved after installing the new injectors. It really is nice when live becomes sweet. I don't need new injectors but it might be worth it for that sweet life.

Was the distributer in place in the intake at the time?

Yes, I never took the distributor out. I don't have access to a lift and I could not fish it out with my telescoping magnet. I am quite sure it did not fall into the engine, so I gave up on it. I was hoping to find it under the car after I pulled out of the garage but no such luck.

88coupe: thanks for the flowers and was glad to help you with your injectors. My mama always said "what goes around, comes around". I have needed Corvette help and forum people were there for me
