people tell me you can use 50 shot nos rather then buying a cooler for the sc cause the nos is supposed to act like a cooler witht such a little shot? can you do that? i was just wondering cause i had nos and i took it off when i got my sc so i can always put it back on?
One of the inherent benifits of the juice, is that it is in liquid form. It should come out of the nozzle in liquid form. Not only do you inject Oxygen, but cold. More accuratly, you take heat out of the incomming charge. Less heat = more dense charge. Less heat = less chance of preignition. Less heat = can do more boost before preignition is a problem.
The nitrous might cool the air but your also adding more heat and stress to the engine with nitrous. I think an intercooler is the better choice. You'll also be able to dial in more boost and timing for more hp.
Re: inner-after cooler or nitrous (AquaMetallic94LT1)
How does nitrous add more heat and stress than a blower? I don't think that making 500hp with a blower is any less stressful on engine components than making 500hp with nitrous and no blower or a combination of the two. 500 was just an arbitrary number by the way. Please explain.

I didn't mean that nitrous adds more stress than a blower. What I meant was, using nitrous to cool the air adds more stress to the engine.
