Tweaking Fuel Pressure Regulator

What would happen if I put a quarter under the cap of my FPR. The pressure is slightly lower than spec (35 PSI ) and I don't want spent 90 bucks for a adjustable right now. Would it help, hurt, not make a differance ?

It would be alot of work and gaskets for trial and error sessions.

Well I've presently have the fuel rail off and its setting on my work bench. Now if it doesn't work, It will we work to remove the plenum and redo it.

try stretching the spring slightly in the fpr, not a lot, just a little

I read where you can pull the vacuum hose off the regulator and block the end of the vacuum line and also
plug the hole where the hose came off and this will increase the presure to it's full potential. This was a tweak from things to increase horse power.
Hope this helps and it is easy to do.

I used a nickel under the lid and got 54 psi (it was originally 46 psi) in mine (88).

At 35 psi, it may be time for a new diaphragm and spring.
