I have it in my 84. Changed from 3.07 to 3.75 gears. It's dead on. Uses dip switches to adjust the output from the trans to speedo. Instructions are easy and so was installation. Best part is, if ya change gears again you just reset the switches again. A lot easier than changing the gears in the trans etc.... IMHO
There are some much cheaper options available including standard vss drive and driven gears.
For a calibrator, I like the Dakota Digital SGI-5. I have an older version (revision A) with dip switches that works fine. I think the newer models use buttons for programming the correction factor.
The calibrator is a good way to go if you have money to burn or a troublesome ratio change to match up to. Otherwise, stock Chevy gears will usually do the job for 10.00 to $30.00.
