Emergency Brake Fix
Next up on my '88 tinkering saturday is an emergency brake that is total nonfunctional. The handle in the cockpit goes up and down but no action on the other end.
My most simplistic view says I have a busted cable but before I dive in I wanted to check with the experts here for tips and comments on the challenge.

Before you go spending time and money make the release mechanism is working correctly. When the button is pushed the release mechanism would make that same result. Perhaps all you need to do is clean and lubricate it.
