Default eliminate pcv on a lt1.

if I whant to do that complete. Is it enough to block the pcv in the intake. And then just run breathers on both of my vavlecovers?

Cheers

dude,do not eliminate the PCV system on your motor, you will have oil leaks eveywhere.the crankcase needs to breath and vent.the lt1 unlike the traditional chevy draws and vents utilizing metered air through the tb. leave the system alone.

I'm considering running the valve covers to the exhaust.

If you look back, there was a thread a couple days ago on VC breathers. There was also a really long one on deleting the PCV system on camaroz28.com within the last couple weeks.

Default pcv valve

the only way you need to eliminate the pcv valve is if you only run the quarter mile.
Pcv valves run on vacuum, and with wot, there's no vacuum.
With breathers, extra baffling need to be provided if running valve covers without baffling unless the breathers are mounted on pipes that stick up another inch or so..
If you use the exhaust type of breathers, the extra oil vapors under wot will cause carbon buildup in the headers, and they will have to be cleaned periodically

Ok thanks..

Right now i run a breather on the passenger side vavlecover. And the stock LT1 pcv system on the intake. The driver side vavlecover has no holes what so ever. Hope this is "ok".

Thanks
