Default 1993 LT-1 intake system

I'm sure this has been beat to death, i've tried to do a search on here as well, but i havn't had much luck with the search function on any forum. I've also done a little research and havn't come up with a whole lot. Looking for a good aftermarket intake system, something similiar to what i've seen for the c5 if i can find it. Polished tube to a k and n filter or something. Is there such thing for the 93 c4?

Can you be a little more specific? If you're referring to a ram air system or something before the intake there are plenty of options.

But if you're talking about the actual intake manifold then don't bother. There aren't any drastically different ones out there, and more importantly, the stock one is a damn nice piece. It's about the last thing you should change (other than coating or polishing it).

I did see a replacement LT1 intake in my Summit catalog (I think it was by Edelbrock), but I don't know of anyone who's used one. You can get well over 500 HP in an LT1 with the stock intake.

No, not looking for an intake manifold. Looking for lead in pipes and filter. A cold air intake, or just something so i can get rid of the stock box and have a nice cone filter and polished lead in tube instead. Know what i mean? I don't want to modify the hood, or front valance/bumper.

If you want to replace your 'filter box' you'd want what they market as "The Claw". They say it'll add at least 30 horsepower. That's a total lie. It'll probably COST you a few HP (not to mention $299.99)

Well, that looks pretty cool, but apparently that is all it does? No horsepower gain? How about a company with polished inlet tube?

There isn't much out there for these cars without cutting open the area behind the front license plate for a ram air system.

I have around 470 HP and still run the stock airbox and intake system. If you're looking for power there are better places to spend your money.
