Someone please chime in for the adjustment procedure. I am just about ready to adjust it and I am getting worried after talking to Pete about trashing the tranny.
As I mentioned on the phone, I am afraid to give Fred advice regarding a 93. I have never adjusted the asr type cables(92-93). I would prefer to give no advice rather than misinform.
The procedure in the FSM is somewhat complicated and requires an inch pound torque wrench. I will try to shoot a picture of the pages and post it if you are still interested, let me know.
There seemed to be a lot of disagreement as to how to do the adjust but the consensus for your vintage seemed to be:
Unhook cruise control cable; unhook locking latch or push button on the throttle cable plastic gizmo; make sure throttle is fully closed and move cable to remove slack but not so much that it opens the throttle; make sure throttle fully opens when flooring the pedal; re-attach the cruise control cable.
Whatever you do, do it with the engine OFF. I tried adjusting mine and pulled back to far on the clamp with motor running and the engine raced to the rev limiter as I ran to turn the engine off. It blew the oil stick out of its seat. I almost wasted a good LT1

I believe that thread is discussing the foot throttle, not the TV cable
