Default Cooling fan never turns off.

As soon as I turn my key forward (before the car is even started) the fans will turn on. I have no idea where to begin and I couldn't find any information on this. This is for a 93 C4, by the way. Thanks!

Check and see if you have any error codes...

Check to see if the 2-wire switch is plugged into the A/C pressure line.

If it is, remove the connector and verify that the switch is closed by measuring resistance across the contacts is zero.

I dont know about a 93 but on my 88 I had the same problem when I put a new computer in --- the fan worked correctly.

I ran the codes and it came up with code 28. According to another website:

Air conditioning Clutch relay and/or cooling fan relays. Check with digital Ohm meter, replace if less than 18 Ohms. If relays OK, potential ECM failure.

So, is this the connector you are talking about? The only two wire connector I could find on the AC line was by the dipstick, right next to the stainless steel braided fuel lines. It looks like removing it would let gas escape. I am going to need a better description of its location if that isn't it.

That is indeed the switch to which I was refering. On my '88 it has a Dk Grn & a Blk wire to the connector.

That is the A/C Coolant Fan Sw; when pressure builds too high in that line the sw opens and the ECM turns on the coolant fan.

There may be two connectors (my '88 has two), the one to which I refer is the smaller and has a release tab on the side of the connector.
