....of all the coolant lines. The 2nd one sprung a leak a few minutes ago. Luckily, I was close to home and smelled it b4 things got hot. Was able to limp home with temps under 210. The Vette is our cruising, vacation, leisure ride. There's nothing worse than having to get hot and dirty on a saturday afternoon when your intentions are (were) to have a nice cruise and a cold brew.

What do you do with the lines that are metal with hose at both ends? They have a crimp where it goes from metal to rubber hose. I'm assuming that I can take a grinder and do away with the crimp, add a hose clamp and new hose, and be OK mechanically. It'll look like **** though. The car is not a museum piece, but it's damn nice. And I'm assuming again that a complete new line from chevy will put the hurt on my credit card. Any other options out there?

Edit: Vette is a '95 LT1 motivated coupe.

Slow down here, a picture is worth a thousand words, are you talking coolant lines or AC/Power steering lines. Most lines that go from rubber to steel that are crimped are under high pressure. Please make sure these are not your refrigerant lines first. Let us know what you find out. I might have missed something been a long day. All coolant lines will have a simple worm drive clamp that needs to be loosened prior to removing the leaking rubber hose.

The one that broke first goes from the puke tank to the top of the radiator to the water pump. The one that broke today goes from the back of the motor to the throttle body.
