Buy a helms manual. There are detailed instruction especially important with torqueing procedures/recommendations.
-Drain fluids
-remove cross brace (convertible)
-remove exhaust, downpipes and manifolds
-support transmission and remove C-beam
-remove driveshaft
-follow steps to remove transmission
-disconnect all wiring harnesses leading to the engine (label if desired)
-disconnect all hoses, coolant, power sttering, ac lines, etc.....watch out for the evap line at the rear of the cylinder heads. I bent this while removing my LT1 and had to find one in a junkyard.
-remove engine mount bolts and you should be clear aside from the easy noticable stuff like EGR lines and intake..
