I bought this beautifull 1990 l98 6 months ago drove maybe 50 mile crapped a head gasket. I pulled everything apart and put the new set in took all of about two weeks. Now The fuel pump won't kick on. The fuse in passenger side fuse compartment has been replaced. I swapped out the radio relay with the fuel pump relay still no pump action. I have no fancy tool to check the computer. Can anyone tell my how to make to pump run with out changing around the oil presure switch?
As long as the wiring to the fuel pump and connections are good, when you apply 12v to terminal G of the ALDL...the fuel pump should run. You can test the connector at the fuel pump. It should have battery voltage. If it does and the pump still doesn't run, consider the pump or connection to it faulty.
