Default Accel injectors an miscellaney

My 92 LT1 convert has 103,000 on it and the injectors are showing signs of being a little tired. I have a set of Accel injectors, 24 lb/hr, PN 150824. Will these fit? They look a little different, and I want to know before I start trying to install them.
Not really happy right now -- I finally have gotten off my butt in the last few weeks and started taking real good care of my babe - before it got no more than any old clunker like a Kia or something. But the last few months I was getting a 23 and a 45 code . Replacing the IAT was no help, so it went into the shop for a little diagnosis. On the way there I ran thru a mud puddle and she quit. :bb A half hour later she started again, so it was another thing to be looked at. Guess what? Distributor cap, leaking injectors. :U So it was lotsa money for the cap, new coil wire too, and I got these injectors at a reasonable price. Don't know if they are the correct ones for my car though. Please let me know before I get all worked up for nothing. :smash:

roger,

you ain't gonna like what I have to say... you shoulda done the entire opti, not just the cap.

give the car a complete tuneup. wires, plugs... no bosch +4's, either!!! they just don't seem to run worth a damn in the vettes.

The 45 is an o2 sensor, if I remember correctly...

I have no clue if the accels will fit. but the rating is ok. if they fit and plug in, you are ok.

these cars use a bosch type injector.

have you replaced the waterpump? that is why the opti has failed. they both give up at about 80,000 miles. sad to say, I have no real clue as to why gm even offers a cap for the opti, the bearing is usually DOA by the time the cap needs replaced.

if you need parts, contact carfan18. he is the MAN when it comes to factory GM parts! 800-728-8267 he can get entire opti's for about 320.00. OEM parts.

you will need to replace the intake manifold gasket, too. that is a real pest problem. causes all sorts of special problems. oils leaks. manifold leaks. yucko. warning - the parts are not expensive, the work is not hard... but you must let the motor set 24 hours before you start - the RTV has to dry!!!

thats all I got for now... :chevy

Accel injectors fit fine. I have Accel 36# on my engine. Have to agree on the other posters comment about the opti cap.

I just put 'em in my 89. They fit fine as long as you use the top clip location. Since they are in your hands, look under the o-rings and cut off any extra flashing. I used 26#'s part #150826. So far so good.
