Hello All,
I am getting ready to change out the u-joints on the half-shafts, will OEM be fine or do you guys recommend something else? I am always interested in products that are as good or better than OEM, especially when they cost less than OEM!

Yes, Spicer was the OEM supplier for Corvette U-joints. The part numbers that CFI-EFI lists in his linked post are the Spicer part numbers for the cold-forged extra heavy duty units with coated end caps specially made for the Corvette. The stock Spicer units were similar, but not quite as strong as the cold-forged units. They are the best you can get for about the same price as the originals, and they are made by the original manufacturer. I bought mine from a local semi-truck driveline repair place for less than most internet sites were asking. Since I bought the u-joints there, the repair facility replaced the old units with the new ones and checked the half-shaft balance for $2 per joint while I went to breakfast.
You can go to spicer's website. It has 'look up' for a dealer near you that carries their product.
I did that before I posted this thread and I got the local heavy duty truck repair shops, just wanted to see where the Forum members are buying them from. Thank you!
