question on muffler specs
I am shopping for mufflers for my 91 coupe L98 all stock. What is the muffler inlet diameter?
Also, any feedback on your muffler experience is appreciated. Currently I have original mufflers on..

That would be the size of the pipe on the engine side of the muffler, the outlet dia would be the tips. If you get a mismatched dia. of pipes you may need a reducer. Stock should be 2.25" for yours.

The y-pipe itself is 2.25" so the muffler should fit over that size pipe. Look at Mid America if you want a performance muffler that appears stock. They have some with dual working outlets at a very reasonable price.

The '91 had unique mufflers. If you're getting aftermarket mufflers, make sure they say for '84-'91 and not '84-'90. Some have adjustable inlets that can swivel to match the '91's Y-pipe angle while others don't.
