When im on the throttle going down the road you can actually see the shifter raising up quite a bit on my 95. I would assume that this is due to a bad mount but my question is would this most likely be a motor mount issue or the trans to c-beam? If anyone has had this problem please chime in?

Trans/C-beam bolts are loose (if the shifter rises straight up).
Get the beam plates from ZFDoc...took care of my problem once and for all...
95_6spdvette, your C-beam bolts are loose. You can do the beam plates from ZF Doc, or just tighten the bolts from time to time.
There was a period of about 2 years where I gave my C-beam bolts a snug every time I was under the car and changed the oil. I eventually pulled them out and used some red lock tite along with some lock washers and haven't had a problem since.

Been there, done that. Loose C-beam bolts to tranny. Also really screwd your 60' times as you load and unload the tires at the strip.
