I was not happy with my headlights on my 95 coupe, after asking questions about lights on e-bay I was told most of them were just for looks only, poor lighting.
Someone suggested buy Silverstars so I bought a pair for about $19.99 a piece. At that point I thought there would not be much difference and I was out about $43.00 after tax. I was kinda thinking about taking them back as I could not see much difference in just looking at the old and new headlights.
This afternoon the kid said he would change them as he was bored and he was tired from taking my K9 partner for a long drive in his 79 vette, they got caught out in the rain with the t-tops off.
We started changing the lights after checking the owners manual on how to do the job and found one plastic light and one glass light, the plastic must have been from the factory and was a Wagnor brand light with some off breed halgoen on the other side.
We got them installed and boy, what a difference, the silverstars are super bright and work very well. Thanks to the guys on the forum who suggested the Silverstars.
I have the Silverstars on my 89 and they are considerably brighter than the stock lights on my car. Love them Anyone want a set of stock lights just for paying postage?
i like my silverstars, had them for about 3 years now.
the extra bright lighting of some others like hella creates unnecessary attention, especially if you're bombed out of your brain hammered up past 12:00am on a weekend spiral-bender. no need to hail the cops then.

I'll agree that the Silverstars are brighter, but if you do a lot of night driving they won't last long. I bought a pair that burned out somewhere between 6 and 8 months. Gave them another chance and same thing. For what I spent doing that I could have gone with a better set up at not too much more cost. I called Sylvania and was told, "they are high performance, they don't last as long". No more Silverstars. My .02.

Ain't that something. I was going to buy them down the road but I guess now I wont.
Ive seen these in action on on my buddy's 84, it was a night and day difference.
I also got the little ones for my wife's Altima, it really brightened things up a lot!
At the time I still had my Tiburon, and it came with them stock from the factory!
Good stuff.
But it concerns me about the "doesn't last as long" comments I see
I've had no issues with the wife's car, but then again those are a completely different style of light too.
They don't say they're blue either. Blue = filtered = Not bright. Or did you use those worthless "cool blue" ones?
The Silverstars are a good step up from stock replacements, although not the best. Mostly they put out a brighter low beam.
I am interested in the "cool blue" ones from Mid America. They look good and they are "suppose" to be alot better for night driving. I have wagners now and they suck! They were 10.00 dollars a piece from NAPA.
