Help with Hypertech Power Programmer
I bought a new one and it worked great to adjust my computer to match the 3.73.gears to make my speedo read correctly. Now I want to know how to unlock the unit from my VIN so I can sell it ti someone else who needs one. Ebay and others on this board had used ones for sell that were unlocked and could be used for another car and I need to do that to this one. Can any of you help?? Thanks, Jack.

You have to reprogram your car back to factory settings. I think when you first modified the programming the unit stored the stock setup and VIN info. If you don't then the next guy can't use it because the VIN doesn't match and Hypertech wont do anything to fix it. Forces people to buy new ones.
