Just ran a 14.8 at Bandimere test and tune night. That's a mile high, just west of Denver. Stock 96 LT4, just the cut lid and K&N. I left the timeslips in the car, I'll have better info after I grab them tommorrow.
thats too low for an LT4, what u did. How many runs did u made, is 14.8 is ur best on that day, what was 60 ft time, what was mph ? I would expect atleast 13.5 - 13.8 atleast even on bad day. Not trying to bash u my friend, ur's got some more in it just practice, iam pos u will improve with same stock engine. Dig the time slip and post some more info. Hope u had a fun day, drag racing is fun, i can take all day long.

Sami, his altitude is at 5k feet. This takes away horsepower like you would not believe. Sort of like pulling a trailer.
I grabbed the time-slips, I made a total of 4 runs, my first two ever (my first time racing) in the left lane then the last two in the right. My best 60' was .947 on Goodyear street tires on the first run. My best everything else was on my last run, 14.84 quarter-mile at 98.35 mph with a 1.981 60' on the same tires. Not sure if my first 60' was a fluke or mis-time or something because it just doesn't seem to jive. Bandimere is at 5860ft of elevation, adjusted for sea level my best ET would have been 13.66. I understand the problems with adjustments, but it's just a ballpark figure anyway.
Any ideas about the 60' times:
run1: 0.947s (I revved quick and dumped it when the light surprised me)
run2: 2.426s (forgot to turn off traction control)
run3: 1.833s
run4: 1.981s
That first 60 foot time must be some kind of timing fluke. It must be a 1.9, not 0.9 or something. .9 is impossible in a street car. Heck, it's impossible for all but the most brutal race cars.
