Bose Radio Noise
I have a 89' with factory bose stereo which works good except has a buzz noise which is related to engine speed. What in the system suppresses altenator noise? or what else can I check?

Is the buzz coming from all of the speakers or just one? If it's one speaker it is probably the amp for that speaker or the speaker itself. If the noise is coming from all of the speakers it could be an antennae problem or a problem with the stereo unit itself. Call Dr. Don in Texas. He is the guru on these systems. He will have a definitive answer if you explain your symptoms to him.

If the buzz is coming from all the speakers, then remove your battery cables (neg first) and clean the battery cable lugs, bolts, and the battery terminals and reconnect the cables (neg last). If the buzz is from one speaker, then remove the amplifier and replace all of the electrolytic capacitors and reinstall.
