c4 BRAKE PADS
Hello,I am new to the forum here.And my son just obtained a 92 coupe.I would like to change the brake pads but I am a little confused, While I was looking for brake pads I could not help but notice the big price range in a set of pads anywhere from $23.00 to $160.00 per set, all come with lifetime warranty all are semi metalic.Well I am confused as they cannot explain to me why one set is better or worse than the other.I hope some one here could tell me what the differance is .Thankyou in advance

Most people here will recommend using the stock GM pads (around $50 i think). You can go with something like Performance Friction if you want to really get some stopping power (around $100), but it depends on what he plans on doing with the car. If it's a daily driver.... go with the GM pads.

For a daily driver I'd recommend GM pads also. For any serious driving, I'd recommend some kind of upgrade. Right now I have the ceramic pads from NAPA. They seem to be better than stock, but I don't have enough seat time with them to give an overall recommendation.

Stick with the GM pads. They are very effective in normal driving and are clean and quiet. The PEFORMANCE FRICTION pads squeel like stuck pigs and create alot of black brake dust.
