Start with a full flush of the system. Use a good synthetic like Valvoline synthetic. Buy a set (4) of "Speedbleeders". It makes it an easy job. After the system is flushed, if the problem continues, you will next have to look at your master cylinder.

Good luck.

brake fluid is supposed to be a very light yellow to clear.the darker the fluid, the more urgent it is that you flush the brake fluid out. Use a bleeder, don't try to pump it out with the pedal. You can install the bleeder, and go to all corners and bleed the contaminants out till the fluid turns clear again. it may take almost a gallon by the time you flush the black out.
You will most certainly have to change the brake master cylinder anyway, so get one, and install it after you have flushed the system.
