Default Drag---Clutch flywheel combination

Which is the best clutch flywheel combination for a 600+ horsepower 92 6 speed LT1 motor. I was looking into the c4 conversion kit from RAM pn# 900800 or do you guys know of anything better. I have to make a decision TODAY so please guys dig in fast and deep and advise me properly. I'd love to hear what combination the guys running 10et 1/4 mile or faster are running, please-------thanks

The guys at Ram told me that sticky tires and the clutches they have right now for the LT1 are not that reliable for 600+ hp meaning after a couple of passes that is it, u have to replace them. once again please advise

People seem to have good luck with the Mcleod Street Twin. Thats what I have, but I haven't gotten everything put together yet.

Hello.

I agree with MrDave, on 1992 and E1993 it´s only Mcleod Street twin that works if u gonna take it to the track.

I have bought this one MCL-640231A07 http://www.mcleodind.com/downloads/p...DFs/Page_6.pdf

My centerforce dual friction don´t like 840nm and 578 rwhp (din)

You also have http://www.specclutch.com/ Stage 5 clutch, but I don´t know if it´s so streeteble..

But I did go for the Mcleod..

I have ran the Mcleod Street Twin in mine for three years now and I have many 10 sec passes on it. It will break everything else behind it before it breaks.

Do a search on the forced induction forum for Spec clutch and read AKracing's experience (I think thats the right user name). Mcleod comes with a flywheel, so factor that in to the price comparison.

McLeod Street Twin with aluminum flywheel. I have run the others, but McLeod is the best to date. I think the McLeod can be had at just over $1000, while the SPEC Stage 3+ will set you back ~$850. Spend the money and buy it only once if you are at the big power levels. BTW, the McLeod is guaranteed to find the next weakest link in your driveline.

Don't even think of the CF or the RAM, unless you like pulling trans and replacing slipping clutches.

Search the forums, and you will find very quickly what the limits (WHP'wise) of each of the clutch combos.
