Default Is this Bad?

I was told this piece was probably not working correctly and was wondering if anyone knows what it is and if that is correct?

The car is a 90 and an auto.

The picture is too out of focus and blurry, to even identify what it is, but even I can tell it isn't working, unless it's sole purpose is as a paper weight.

RACE ON!!!

isnt that the part that the input shaft is suspose to be connected to? I cant recall the name of it, but I think it is suspose to have a shaft off the end and the part that we see goes into the center of the clutch pack. JUST A GUESS!!

It isn't THAT out of focus. I took that picture 5 times and everytime I hit the button it went out. This was the best one.

It's actually part of the trans and I believe it would be the outer race to the forward input sprag. I thought I puked the sprag but I killed this little beauty instead.

You ripped the inner shear lugs off the overrun clutch pack inner shell that connects it to the forward sprag assembly

Guess your forward clutches were toast, so the overrun clutches took over...this clutch pack only engages when you are manual shifting 1-3 ......I assume you were getting on it pretty hard, or else just using manual shifting because you forward clutches were fried and this is the only way you could get it to move.....

Try the Macro setting on your camera for close up shots.

ACTUALLY, I beat the **** out of the car on a regular basis (all legal per CFOT rules) BUT...I was going to work last October and coming down a hill to a stop sign. I was only going 55-60 and I shifted into 3rd gear to get a little engine braking, then hit 2nd gear around 35-40 and POP. So it wasn't used to me being nice to it. NEVER again will that car see any sympathy from me (all legal per CFOT rules.)
The trans worked fine before and after it dumped this out except the lack of the manual downshifts (I could manually downshift just had to get the rpms up the catch up due to the lack of the forward input working proper) after the pop. The clutches were fine, the 3-4 showed a little burnage (probably from the over 5000 rpm shifts) but everything else in the trans is pretty much OK.

Actually that is 2006 breakage. I hope the new trans holds for 450-500hp. I am not too worried about the torque due to the fact I run a Miniram and EVERYONE and their mommy on the CFC4T KNOWS that Minirammed cars don't make torque, right Mick?

I didn't make it out for my bike cruise last year. My mommy wouldn't sign my permission slip.
To be honest I don't remember why I didn't make it.

maybe she didn't sign because the pooch needs to be over 50cc for highway driving?

It may only be 49cc but I did manage 44.3mph out of it last year after a bit of modding. I now have a Puch with a fart pipe and a bored out carb and intake and no head gasket. No kidding either.

I actually picked up torque with the MRII over the old SR, but it may have had something to do with moving from a D1 to a D1R. Hmmmm...

The big scoot is running very well. I have over 8000 on it. Very fun to drive yet. At least having that will keep the miles down on the vette this year again. Gotta have a CD player to keep me interested in driving motorcycle and so far it's working.

AKS, I said that tongue in cheek about the torque. All the dipshts here that have only read about them and have no first hand knowledge are the ones I am mocking.

Not an issue. I since switched to the C4SP. And at the same time switched to a Mustang Dyno vs the previous Dynojet runs. And then I had to go and over double the boost (recorded over 25 psi at 6100RPM).

There is no need for this much power on the street.
