Default ZF6 Clutch Recommendations

I am going to upgrade my clutch soon and need advice on selection. Super Ram 350 that will be a street and occasional strip car.
Single or dual-mass flywheel? I have heard good things about SPEC/LPE clutches, anyone using one? What is the web address for Star Performance clutches?

SPEC/STAR clutches are nice pieces I would recommend the Stage III setup. It is a carbon fiber setup and can hold quite a bit of power! :)
Let me know if I can help,

I have a Star Stage 4 Kevlar in my car with the stock dual mass flywheel. It grabs great, never has slipped even on back to back spray runs.....but, it chatters like a mo fo. I would recommend the stage 3 as well, I may even pull mine this winter and go with the stage 3 myself since my stock clutch held up for quite a while in this setup.

the website for star is http://www.specpwr.com
last time I was on there they were working on the website, not sure if they have finished yet.

Good Luck

Mike

I have a McLeod single disk clutch on my 396 Super ram car. It uses the stock dual mass flywheel and a stock pressure plate. It never slipped yet but I don't use spray. The only drawback is that it grabs hard. It takes a little getting used to to keep it from stalling out. You have to slip it a little when you start moving. Valet guys have a rough time!

Yup! The Stage IV is more of a rce clutch and will chatter. The stage III is as far as I woudl recommend on a street driven car. If you need more grip than that on a street car, I would then go with the McLeod Twin disk. Mine is chatter free and has ripped the rear end out of the car twice now before the clutch had a problem!!! :D :D

I must be one of the few left still using a centerforce dual friction setup.

It has performed great for me. low 11's all day with back to back nitrous runs and high 1.5x' 60's . I cannot complain about it.
Will I get another. I will sho around and see what the other manufactors have to say. But I think I will be swapping in a auto. My goal will be high 10's and i dont want to be breaking any more dana 44's ;)
