Default 700r4 help

ok i got one i need some help with, heres whats going on shifts fine 1-3 then lock up on third and doesn't shift into fourth until 65-70mph, had tranny rebuilt, new torque convert, new tv (shift) cable and still does the same thing. tran shop said to drive it to see if it would come out of it. he also said to put a switch inline to the lockup to disengage it. i was told there is a pressure switch that is activated in the trans to go into fourth. the shift cable has be adjusted several times (3-4). any ideas?

There is no pressure switch to control the 3-4 shift.
Sounds like a valve body issue. Common after a rebuild. Sometimes, a small amount of residual trash works loose in the valvebody, and causes small shift problems. If you are confident the tv adjustment is correct, run it. It may clear up.
