i have a 95 lt1 corvette a weird thing happened to me today i went to start my car today and it started perfectely fine. went to go home from work and this piece of shizzle started to run weird welll when i was driving and i was getting on the gas my car started to die out on me. (well not exactely die on me) it started to kinda putter on me i was a little low on gas. welll i got home and took the intake off and started the car and it started but when i went to push on the gas, well out of where the intake hooks up into the throttle body on the car it would look like it wanted to spit out what looked kinda like a flame but not sure what it was. well when i would open up the **** to be like opening it up to full throttle it would not even want to put out anything so if i were driving it would not want to go. and when the car would be in idle i heard what i think is a rocker arm that came loose heard a clunking noise coming from the block please tell me its nothing too serious. i know it is though. i already have a problem with my emmisions bad maf sensor and a bad o2 sensor would that cause this to happen. any help i would greayley appreciate it.
Simply based upon your post.....I'd suggest one of two things:
1) Follow Bogus's instructions exactly and completely or.....
2) Take it to a good shop.
Diagnosing and repairing these vette problems takes a lot of patience, a lot of research AND (with the help of knowlegable guys on this forum) SOME mechanical abilities. You can enjoy the experience of fixing it yourself (with experienced help) but it will cost you. Your cost will be the DESIRE tackle the project personally. You'll save tons of bucks on labor....but you will make mistakes too.
My vette is my PROJECT. My vette makes me SMILE. My vette is ALWAYS breaking down! There's always SOMETHING. It's my personal way of relaxing after a long life of hard work.....plus it's teaching me patience.
