You should have gotten one of the new silver ones on top of the radiator. No?

If not, we can mail anyone that wants them a sticker or two. We have small shiney foil ones 1" x 4" or larger bumper stickers (black on white) about 3" x 9" or so.

Email Christyn@dewitts.com with a mailing address and we'll send them to anyone

I don't think there is a version with both, either the Auto trans version with trans cooler or 6-speed with or without EOC. Tom, correct me if I'm wrong.

oh, yea, there is a shiny nice foil one on the radiator itself... but that is already stuck there! and once the shrouding is all installed, it can't be seen!!

I will admit, I am being petty and childish... the radiator itself is a real work of art. It arrived PERFECT. The packaging is very well thought out and exceptionally effective.

Did you slice your thumb open like Rick did during his install?

To bad its going to be covered up by a fan shroud. If you want that sucker polished, lemme know.

That would accomplish nothing since the oil cooler lines have coolant in them, not oil. Plus you need something to circulate the fluid. Now if you had an oil filter relocation kit, then you could accomplish something, using the oil pump to push oil through the radiator side tank.

They should make them out of soft plastic so as to prevent that. Or perhaps come shipped with a miniature mechanic to install it for you.

I had heard they dont recommend running oil or power steering fluid through the radiator side tank (to use it as a cooler) for some reason, maybe Tom can give us some input.

I asked him that already. I forget the answer. Maybe it's too restrictive.

This was one of those "what if" deals for me,,, I was looking for a way to cool the oil better without using the same water that flows thru the entire engine in hopes that the oil could be cooled more efficiently with the radiator I already have,, instead of adding an oil cooler rad, which would be a really tight fit to mount. I realize that it has to be circulated by a pump of some sort, I could figure that out.

So in essence,, nevermind.... I'll go back to sleep

I think I remember Tom stating that the design wasn't sufficient for oil cooler use. Something to do with the size of the fittings being too small or the pressure being too much. It would be a very cool product if he were able to incorporate a true oil cooler/warmer into the radiator. There is a lot of discussion about high oil temps over in the autocross/roadrace section. It would be one less thing to have to mount seperately under the car. :

Exactly! The trans oil Coolers (toc) have a much higher pressure drop that a cooler designed for Engine oil cooling (EOC). This is why you see people insisting they need 5/8" or even 3/4" hoses for these packages when the oil flow from the engine is only 2-4 gpm. You could handle that volume of oil with 1/2" lines but they got so much pressure drop from the oil cooler they are trying all kinds of things to reduce it and the pressure drop is not the hoses anyway.

LD, just mount an external cooler to the front of the radiator. There's plenty of air flow for both.

If you need pics let me know.

I was thinking of that to. I already have a trans. cooler there. Plus I'd like a PS cooler to, are you running one? A combo cooler is looking good. I wonder if one of the frame rail EOC would help at all. They are long and thin with fins. Maybe putting one in each line from the stock oil warmer would help. They could mount to the bottem of the car and not take up space in front. (some place safe on the bottem though!)
