Default Calling RRT....

I was reading an old post of yours earlier where you were battling some very similar rich issues as I am.

I'm just very early on in my research on my issue, mainly cause I'm in no big rush, but do you have any suggestions as to what resolved yours?

The post stopped, so I"m only guessing you've fixed your issue.

I have the same exact symptoms as you wrote about. I'll scan it in the coming weeks, but I intend to test the ECM temp sensor, the thermal switch, and the CSV also. I do have an FSM.

I just recently redid my intake manifold gasket and it started happening shortly there after. I just cleaned up the old sensors but never replaced them.

I have replaced my o2 sensor recently though.

Again, I'm in no rush and will use my FSM and other resources to research why it's rich in basically just open loop mode.

Just figured I'd get some headway after reading some of the things you worked on.

Thanks!

Hello Larry, yes I did fix my problem. I worked on and off for a year trying to find out why the car ran like crap. I ended up finding out that the distrubitor was way off. The rotor was pointing to the front of the engine when #1 piston was TDC. I moved the rotor to #1 and rearranged my spark plug wires and all the problems went away. I didn't try this in the start, because my dad had installed the dist back years ago and told me it was correct. If you can't believe your dad...who can you believe. Anyway he was mistaken. Let me know if I can help. I've been through this 86 many times.
