Replacing Upper Wheelhouse Panels - Hints?
I'm replacing my front upper wheelhouse panels today (the old 'tubs' are really decrepit and one is cracked). Does anyone have any hints or gotchas - it seems pretty straightforward to me.

I didn't replace one, but I did have to remove one in order to modify it. Very simple-unbolt, swap, bolt-up. No problems.

Thanks, Shane! I've learned to ask here before I start on anything ...

Yeah...and those rivets are like $2.50 each....if you can even find them.
Luckly I was able to find something close for a whole lot less...

rivited? that's just wrong.
yea, unbolt, replace. Real easy.
you will find a lot of gick on the hood, so cleaning that will be necessary.

It actually wasn't that dirty, but now it's cleaner than it's been since 11/9/1984 - the dates I found scored/engraved under the driver's side wheelhouse.
I guess that hood is original after all - that's only a couple of days before
Lauren was born ...
