Hi guys. I just swapped out the stock spring for the drm spring on my 92. My master cylinder appeared to be screwed up even prior to swapping out the spring. Anyhow, I now have a new master. My question is, can I just swap the whole assembly or do I have to swap the drm spring to the new master that I bought. If I could swap out the whole assembly then it'd save me a bunch of time.
confused: if you want the drm spring in your new assy, then you'll need to install that before installation of the new MS... don't forget to bench bleed the MC before installation...or just install the new MC w/o the drm spring...
My brakes were a but mushy on my car so I thought I could bleed the brakes. Since i was going to bleed the brakes, i installed the drm spring in the assembly inside the master. Well, the master was shot so I'm having to replace it.
My question is, can I just swap out the assembly with the drm spring already installed from my old master, or do I need to install the drm spring in the new master that I bought?
When I installed the spring in mine I found no assembly. The spring is a seperate part. You would not want to use other parts from the bad M/C unless you know what part is bad. You would put the DRM spring from the bad M/C onto the new M/C.
