Default 1985 TCC switch type

Is the TCC switch for a 85 normally open or normally closed switch? Is there a way to test/determine the switch type without dropping the pan?

I need to find out because there is a setting in the EBL (Embedded Lockers) settings. The ECM is a 8746 converted to use the EBL. TBI application for a 84. I just got the trans in and I dont want to damage anything.

There is no TCC switch in the transmission. Therefore no need to drop the pan to test it. The trans contains the TCC solenoid which is activated by the ECM. The only TCC switch I am aware of is incorporated in the brake light switch. That TCC switch is NC. Unlike the brake light portion of that switch, the TCC side opens when you step on the brakes. It shows in your FSM wiring schematic.

RACE ON!!!
