Bellhousing insulator?

Bellhousing insulator?
I recently purchased a salvaged LT4 and ZF 6 speed. Of course the yard apes cut and ripped anything they could. The victims included the shifter small parts and boots and the clutch hydraulic line.
Also, I got the remains of what my dealer referred to as an insulator between the bellhousing and block. This is stamped aluminum gasket that apparently dampens vibration transmitted to the chassis. There is also one between the bellhousing and tranmission case.
Is the missing one a necessity? Dealer says they're discontinued and I haven't been able to locate and aftermarket part.
If it's necessary, does anyone know where I can get one?
