MSD Soft Touch Rev Limiter Question
Hello,
I am in the process of installing a MSD 6A ignition on my 89 Vette. I will post pictures tomorrow when the project is complete, I found a nifty spot to mount the ignition. Anyway, I got the 6A in and functioning; Next step is to install the Soft Touch Rev Limiter,... only problem is that I can't find the installation instructions and wiring diagram on the MSD website. Also, there seems to be a little confusion on what the soft touch rev limiter will work with.
I have the model#8738, will this work with a 6A ignition and an HEI distributor???

Why are you trying to use the 8738? I think the 8728 would serve you better.

NOTE: Must only be used with an MSD 6T , 6TN or MSD 6 HVC Ignition and is adjustable for 4, 6 and 8-cylinder operation.

I already have the 8738 thats why I asked,... I think I am going to have to re-sell the unit and pickup one of the ones that works with the 6A correct???
