Question about brakes
I have a noise comming from the rear and can not find out what it is.
I have put new rear wheel bearings, new half shafts, new drive shaft and recently started hearing a noise comming from the rear when I am driving. Often under acceleration or when I let off. I want to say it stops when I apply the brakes. I do not always hear it. It sounds like a light knock or click. Hard to describe.
Today I pulled the rear wheel and saw that I will soon need brake pads.
I am aware that there is a warning sound on disc pads but I can not hear that most of the time.
The car is never driven hard so I doubt it is the rear end with only 100,000 miles.
Any ideas?
