Default Replacing evaporator

I am going to undertake replacement of my evaporator at the same time as my header install as I am told its easier with the passenger manifold out of the way. I have window ribbon sealer, a new evaporator, and am about to order an evaporator housing seal from GM. Any other GM specific parts I need for this job besides the seal before I place my order? I am going to leave the evap plugged for a few weeks while I get money for the compressor, so I am not changing the accumulator yet...

Are you going with R134a for refrigerant? You might check to see if the parts are compatible. There are R134a-specific items so it might be easier to get them now

No, I'm going back to R-12. I have a seal kit for R-12. I don't think that there is a difference as far as evaporator compatibility goes. Anyway, my post is only concerning GM specific parts needed for evaporator replacement. I am mainly wondering if there is anything I need other than that evaporator case seal that is GM only.
