Default Someone HELP?!! Flywheel Balancing and Machining

I am getting ready to start putting the car back together and i need help badly and ASAP!! I just got my flywheel machined and balanced at the machine shop. They informed me that after it was machined down they measured it from where the flywheel bolts to the crank to the top of the meat on the flywheel and after machining it down .090 like ive read everywhere, it measures short .020 than the original dual mass. Will this matter or is this correct to make it sit right? I was told by the machine shop that there are spacers for this type of problem and its easily fixed. Do i need to worry about it or being it is such a minimal amount should I just let it go? TIA

did they measure this from the face of the fw to the mounting face on the crank? that's the critical measure.

Me personally, I would use it, But you could email the MFGR and see what they say.

I have a Centerforce SMFW in my garage, never machined for a 2-piece seal, I can measure it in the morning and post the info.

My point is that if I were to use it again and had it faced off, it would take off .020 and I would use it.

Are you using a new disc? Because the .020 plus the amount of disc wear on a used disc would make the number even greater.

Well this is where im not sure and why. If i lay the two flywheels down beside each other they have different offsets where the crank bolts to the back face of the flywheels. The DMFW i can put almost a finger distance between it and the floor and the SMFW there is almost no room to fit anything, so they have different offsets thats why i wonder its the .020 short is supposed to be that way.

The only thing that matters is the dimension from the crank mount face to the disc surface, what is that dimension?
